Often referred to as 'Baltic Raku' the technique is similar in that the piece is taken from the kiln while still red hot but is immersed in a fermented liquid mixture of water, flour and yeast.

The mixture boils and scalds the surface on contact and produces an unpredictable, unique organic texture on the smooth surface. Once cooled and clean the work is waxed and polished to produce a beautiful work of a art.
